For example, "follow the science" is the cry being heard around the world as leaders and public health professionals attempt to slow the spread and alleviate the suffering being caused by Covid-19. High-quality empirical research and evaluations are being funded at a rapid rate worldwide to determine the efficacy of treatments to reduce the severity and length of illness caused by the coronavirus, as well as to discover an effective vaccine.
