- Comparison between Chinese and Western literature as a kind of important literary genre of the novel, although in the Western origin of the time level of a slight difference, but they are the development of the trajectory but there are some similarities. Western novels have been regarded as an independent literary genre in the middle of the middle ages. Before and after the Renaissance, with the emergence of the urban civil class, the writers began to brush strokes into the city in the city of merchants, people and other common groups, so there is a strong atmosphere of public life. Early China novels appeared, although the orthodox literature as "hearsay" and "the end", but because it reflects certain social needs, the living environment may not be easy, but also exist tough. From the novels of the Wei and Jin Dynasties, to the song, and then to the novels of Ming and Qing Dynasty, China novels has maintained a continuation of relatively stable. Especially in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the social environment changes, the emergence of the public class, for the creation of the novel environment has brought a great change. In order to highlight the public attribute of the novel, this paper chooses the Italy Renaissance novel "The Decameron" and Chinese novels of Ming Dynasty "Sanyan", "Erpai" as the research object, analyzes the comparative reading.
