- An Introduction to Chinese Torts Law provides prehensive and in-depth study and analysis of Chinese torts law and system. It is primarily based on the newly adopted Tort Liabilities Law of China (2009) and examines the basic pninciples and rules in Chinese torts regime. It is designed to offer concise and analytical review of tort theories and practices in China and to enhance understanding of Chinese law of torts as well as Chinese legal system in general. The book is organized in the way to help better prehend the conceptual grounds and practical significance of torts law in China. With a focus on the black letter rules and their applications, and an effort to thoroughly address pressing issues and controversies facing Chinese tort legislation and judicial practice, the book intends to be suitable to both law school students and practitioners. It follows the legislative structures of, and covers subjects in the same order as provided in, the Torts Liabilities Law. It also contains parative analysis in an attempt to differentiate Chinese 'characteristics' from those of other countries.
